It must an assemply problem. The faceplate must not sit properly and that makes the button to press wrong part of the RF board when you press in the middle. Remove the faceplate and place it back and try again.

Yeap. When you take off the faceplate and you press the switch by your finger, it works normal?

Just a simple manufacturing flaw, the area where the ROL board is bolted to must be bent back further than usual so the on/off button is just sitting in further.

Hello
Do you another people that have the same problem?

theres no difference between the production of the pro and the elite apart from the colour.

What ive found is that the faceplace button has a long bit and a smaller bit on it that goes into the power button hole, it is usually the the bottom bit that is causing the problems and not sitting right

aftermarket means not the original one. Of course there are official and non-official. It is up to you which one you will get. I believe it will bring your "click" back.

Yep, a different faceplate would work.

why not just use the one on the old console?

I repair these (hybrid fix...) and when you tighten down the bolts too much it'll flex and be soft like RRODXbox above. You can open it and loosen them, but then you'd be voiding the warranty. I don't think its a problem with the faceplate, but it could be.

first of all i live in israel and in my country the xbox is not sold officialy by microsoft so we buy the 360 from stores in israel that bring the xbox to israel and they give us 1 year warrenty
This is why i went to the store i bought to fix it
So if you talk about the three years warenty by microsft
We dont have it here
And even if we did have it , it means that i will have to send the xbox from isreal to usa and it will cost me something like 70$
And i didnt understand why you said i voided my microsoft warrenty because the guy from the store replace my rol board with an original rol board that he took from anew 360
And even if the rol board have adiffernt serial number and some day i wil have ared ring or another problem that will have to be fix by microsoft you think they will take apart every part of the 360 to check for every serial number that its original?!?! I dont think so!!!

You have to remove the warrenty sticker to get to the rol board.

and does the "click" really matter that much?
People are dumb.

This issue has been resolved, ironically by taking it back to where it was purchased which is what should have been done to start with.

And for the record, the 'click' means dik. Although it should, there are plenty of tact switches that don't make that noise and still work 100% correctly, that sound is not a broken/working indicator as there are plenty that still do 'click' but aren't good internally.
