360 Boots To Overheating Error
« on: September 10, 2009, 11:06:00 PM »

Lets just go through the recent history of my xbox 360.
-Launch console->First 3RROD->Reflow one (Late 07) ->Working fine until about Feb 09->E73 Error->Reflow two->E73 again (August 09)->Pending xclamp fix

After the xclamp fix the system seems to boot up you can hear the dvd drive boot up and immediately two red lights begin to flash. I've never seen the system ever boot to immediately overheat. After a good minute the cpu appears to be completely cool as if it isn't even running. Did I kill it or is the heat sink need a more direct connection to the cpu? I thought i did the fix correctly?

Make sure they are making good contact and have thermal compound.
Other wise if you are sure its not overheating them it could be a temp prob has failed so just cut its trace so the xbox doesnt read any temp.

And its a good idea to 12v mod the fans because they wont speed up anymore they will just stay on idle speed.
