1080p Killed My 360
« on: September 09, 2009, 11:05:00 PM »

Had my falcon for over and its been perfect on my 720p plasma with "HDMI", bought a new 1080p lcd  "HDMI" hooked the bad boy up... Froze on loading screen with checkered pattern.  Restarted thinking it was a one time thing, got RROD.  Replugged it to my 720p start up fine,  so I tried it on my 22" monitor 1080p "HDMI"  froze again with RR0D.  Now it no longer displays video at all.

So in conclusion, everybody that hasn't had a RROD problem most likely uses composite cables or 480p component.  Just wanted to share some self learned knowledge with everybody.  Game on (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

Well, I connect it thru HDMI and is all fine. I have either falcon and Jasper and one xenon too, but it won't count because it doesn't have HDMI.

It doesn't matter if its run through just HDMI, its the resolution that xbox is being displayed through, which is determined by what your tv is capable of. The higher the res the more the 360 gpu has to work.

I agree but I still run them on 1080p.... no problem! So if it was going to happen then just the HDMI just trigged the problem
