Do any of you guys have any idea how to tell if the XBOX 360 Arcade is a Jasper and which DVD drive it has? Or does the drive not really matter any more in terms of ease of flashing?

Thanks!

Everything made after Apr 2009 are Jaspers for sure. If you can go and check it out in person, then check MFG date and the Amp of the power. These are the clues to be sure you got a Jasper on hand.

How about the DVD drive? Does that still matter? Thanks!

No but if you get a lite-on you will need to get a Maximus USB Xtractor and spear. If it's a Lite-on 83850c then you won't need a spear because you can use FreeKey.

Dang - I was just about ready to order when I checked http://www.360drives.com and found out that the vast majority of Jaspers have Lite-on drives. I'll have to decide if I want to take the risk of needing extra hardware to do a flash. What a pain.
