um, no from what i remember. You have to get the drive key from the ms25 and spoof it over to the ms28.

All you need to do is swap your ms25 Logic board in the new drive, no spoofing or messing with the FW at all.

Furthermore, since they are both Samsung drives, if you had to use the whole new drive all you'd have to do is dump your ms25 and then flash that FW right to the ms28, they're exactly the same, just have different FW versions on them is all, they're completely compatible in that respect for swapping anything on them around from ms25 to ms28 or vice-versa.
