Yes I can tell you exactly what is causing the problem.
What I have posted below will happen if you play it off of the HD or from the disk
Your save is over 200 Blocks.
I'm guessing yours is probably between 220 and 260 blocks.
If your game Froze 4 times then it has to be in the high 200s.
What causes this is:
Usually (But not in all cases) the number one cause of this is the creation of too many magic items and having too many spells in your inventory.
Other causes are:
1. Saving outdoors
2. Leaving too many things lying around.
A trick to getting around the outdoors save is only save inside the area you started the game in. By doing this, the game thinks you never left the starting point
