@meethatguy
I don't understand how the dash works? Cheers for pointing that out.

Though didn't i say that it would most likely be on the internal MU? And futch1nc is saying his xbox didn't come pre-loaded with NXE after purchasing it in February this year, so... who
really knows how the dashboard works, eh?
In terms of the lag, i was referring to how quickly information is accessed on the HDD. I wasn't referring to load times (
like for 360 games), i was referring to how quickly HDD data can be accessed. There is a difference.
My concern was that the xbox360 doesn't read from the HDD at an adequate enough speed and can cause dashboard lag. I mean correct me if im wrong but MS went into this race not expecting to depend on a HDD.
Doesn't Halo3 run off the DVD better than the HDD (
or at least used to)? I have dashboard lag that lasts 30-45 seconds.
Basically, what im saying is it very well could be
WHERE the information is, not
how much RAM the system has or
how much SPACE the HDD or MU has.
I've been using PC's all my life both in work and play, i think i know the difference between disc space and RAM. I think my granny does at this stage. I figured if i compared to a 54,00rpm HDD anyone who responded would understand that im referring to the
actual hard drive speed.
I actually have put a lot more thought into this than you might have noticed before giving your response.
(
and yes your HDD can influence how fast your PC can load apps or games, so your not entirely correct there)
@Murc
Cheers. Is it on the internal MU, if so does it respond better?
Just to be clear. Can anyone,
without a doubt, put this to rest?
Would the NXE, loaded onto the internal MU, increase the performance of the dashboard (
navigation).
Is there anyone out there who actually owns a 360 with NXE on the internal MU and has/hasn't noticed a difference?
