My issue is the accuracy. During the demo, the avatar responded poorly to the speaker. The avatar was flipping around the screen.

I though Sony did a good job with their controller. The accuracy was incredible. The remote on the screen nearly moved 1:1 with the remote in hand.

Time will tell and if Project Natal is better than I expect, I will definitely get one.

Is that a wire?   (IMG:style_emoticons/default/dry.gif)  I thought it would have been wireless?

Hope its just a recharger as I have just trunked up all my av cabling in the games room.  (IMG:style_emoticons/default/cool.gif)

It had better come with a longer cable than the Eye toy/vision thing.....  (IMG:style_emoticons/default/grr.gif)

Since Sony just used the iToy (or whatever it's called on the PS3), all the 1:1 motion was in the programing of the recognition software (in and of itself really cool).  The controllers had a specific shape and size that were pre-programed into the software and that allowed them to program it to know exactly where it was.

The natal recognizes feet, hands, even fingers.  This is much harder since they are all different sizes, colors, and shapes.  The 3D view helps and the radar-like thing helps much more (also helps in low lit places where Sony relies on the lit balls).  It would be just a matter of programing a ball-thing recognition subroutine and building a pistol or rifle addon (or whatever is needed) that it knows the size and shape of.

yes, Microsoft's product seems a little less sophisticated just looking at it from the outside, but if you think about what is needed to program these two produces you will realize that Microsoft built a product who's potential hasn't even been reached yet.  If it truly has the ability to do everything that it advertises, then it has the ability to be limited to everything that Sony advertises.

And if that Milo thing can do half of what it showed (and it's Lion Head so it probably douse more) then, as the Great Pardue of Toddonia said: "I think I just pooped myself".

@ BinkY_BMF & Chronno: "PS Eye" was the camera name for ps3, Eye Toy is ps2... in case you guys were wondering. Also, YES, the Eye has a ridiculously short cable. We have to use a usb extension cable to reach the top of our 50" plasma, with the PS3 in our stand directly underneath the TV, but it's worth it for their video chat rooms (IMG:style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif) GF's brother and a couple of our friends like to have big video chats, I'd say it's the one thing sony did perfect (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

@ tiquio: Sony did it right? I remember the intro video for Warhawk(?) in the first Sony E3 fiasco... and then when it came out i tried out motion sensing on MotorStorm, and every other car game I've played since has been pretty much the same delayed inaccurate reaction...

@Bucko: I've heard 140$ float around a lot, but i somehow doubt it's a solid MSRP yet.

Let's keep in mind this is more of a sensor then a camera, so expect it to work differently than the Eye does, and hopefully in a good way!

yes the thing im wondering, is the speed, if i have to crank hard and fast on the "invisible" steering wheel in Forza 3 (  (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)  ) will this damn thing follow through , will there be ANY lag? will it get confuzed if my son is sitting next to me acting like hes driving also? or will it only allow "commands" from ME?

also i can see alot of people with there fighting games kicking over there 50" lcd's lol!!!! in those little houses...

time for a wall mount!!!
will my avatar now be able to move his mouth as mine is moving

and yes how much will this baby cost?

and m$ with this nice little toy, i would say its time for atleast an 8 Person video chat room then!!!!
a 1 on 1 video chat room??? and you talk about community's friends etc alllllll getting togather? but yet a friken 1:1 video chat!!!!!???
