Thats what you WILL be able to do with this card...
1) Just put the card in the 360 play the game it creates a cache (temp game files go here).
2) remove the card put it in your pc locate the cache folder and place the mods in there.
3) put the card back into the 360 and i SHOULD play the mods as like the old xbox did from the cache
with the original disk.

obvously I've not used this new card yet but I can't see why it should'nt do the job of being able to play morrowind with the mass amount of mods out there that the old xbox just could'nt handle, will rock.
There is no caching on a memory card.
A hard drive is required for backward compatibility, and an Xbox game won't even recognize that you have a memory card plugged in.
You won't be able to do anything new as far as BC games go. Now I don't know anything about loading PC mods into the Xbox version of Morrowind, but if it is possible, it is something that you would have to do on the hard drive with something like the Xport360.
