Did you do the final bit, overheating the gpu with the fan unit sitting over the cpu? If you didn't then you'll need to do this then fiddle with the screws afterwards. Go over to www.llamma.com for the howto. It's definitely a bit of a black art, but it does work, so persevere. I had three xboxes that didn't work properly after I did the hybrid xclamp fix, i.e. they would work for maybe a ferw hours or a few days, but when i overheated the gpu, and readjusted the screws again, they all work fine....for now anyway, been nearly a month.

Overheating the system isnt enough to reflow the solder joints. Some say it can even damage your system. If you want good results use the heatgun fix or the oven fix.

clean up good, make a mold with three ply card board for only necessary area ( prevent capacitor from heat), before apply heat treatment put back Motherboard to iron frame and secure with 9 sort screws ( to prevent motherboard form banding cause of temperature change.

Used heat gun for first temperature setting, do not stay on one spot more then 4 or 5 Sec.

Do not put back x-clamp. Used M5 10mm, 2 steel washer on top, 1 nylon washer at button. you can get it from Lowe's and Home depot.

Beware of washer thickness. height of CPU, GPU was only 2.1 mm. so your washer thickness is too thick or too thin, tension of heat sink screws will band the MOB and cause RROD to come back.

Good Luck.
