i've been searching as hell for a solution for this, with no success:

everything was sweet in flashing ixtreme 1.51, but when testing backups, it simply makes a noise twice, and doens't spin the disc. Actually, now it doesn't spin/read any kind of disc.
it happens as if there was no disc inside.

i read that this noise when no disc inside is common in liteon.

i've also tried several flashes and firmwares, no luck.

i've got a good key verified in 3 different programs, i think it's not the problem.

could it be the laser unit? it acts like it's blind.
