Network Issues After Ana Chip Fix
« on: March 23, 2009, 01:03:00 PM »

Ok here it goes..... A few days ago my 360 stopped displaying video, no errors or RoL codes. So me and my buddy take it apart do an xclamp replacement and also use a heat gun on and around the backside of where the ANA chip is located. After we had this done viola the 360 seemed to be back to 100% working condition.

Here is the only catch, now at seemingly random intervals the 360's NIC will stop working. I can see the link light on my router blink a few times and then finally go out.

Trust me I have trouble shot the issue and know it isn't my router causing the issue.

What I am wondering is if it possible that we may have caused a weak solder joint on the chip that controls the NIC. Also I am not sure which chip is the one that handles the NIC.

Thanks a bunch for helping a relative newbie to 360 fixing out.
