I have a friend of mine who had his elite's firmware modded and ever since  it was modded the remote control for the dvd hasnt worked.

its strange because the remote works fine on my  360 the 20gb model.

the remote works off the IR reciever on the 360 and the controllers work off wireless built in the console correct? so just because the gaming controllers work and the remote doesn't, it doesnt mean anything right?


what could be the cause of this?  it started after the firmware mod, I wasnt the one who did the modding, could something have been blocked or broken?
