Lite-on Flash Trouble
« on: February 10, 2009, 01:33:00 PM »

I can't get rid of the E-64 error code!

I recently flashed my lite-on drive using the 360 xtractor tool with the probe attachment. I got the key, inquiry and the other data and made a dummy.bin which I used to flash the drive. It gave me E-64 when I booted it up. So I eventually, after trolling the forums here, figured out the the xtractor does not pull all the serial information.

It turns out the GiampyXBS posted a topic containing software to fix this problem, so I opened up my DVD drive, got all the serial information, and used the dummy.bin fixer to generate a complete dummy.bin. I reflashed my drive with this information.

The E-64 was still there!
I've reflashed, taken the information again, then flashed over and over. Still the error is there.

The wierd part is, when I reflashed the drive with the original firmware, the xbox booted up fine, but instead of going to the dashboard, it just kept rebooting after the 360 logo popped up. Over...and over...and over.

Any ideas on what the problem could be?
