take out the CCT and see if it works. it may be drawing too much power.

yep that fixed it so can i just solder it to another point under the plug or leave it off?

You may be drawing too much current for the fan and the cathodes. Try soldering them to a different 12v point and if that doesn't fix it get a power supply from a Zephyr or Xenon (assuming you have a Falcon or Jasper)
