Make sure none of the USB ports have a connector that's all messed up and shorting the 5v to ground, that'll keep it from starting up. Also check the Power and Eject circuits, seems a missing component there will also keep it from firing up.

After that it's a bit of a crap shoot as to what it could be and is most likely Southbridge related. Check those other things and post back with the results.

Hey thanks man.! You are the man.!  lol
I feel like an idiot, me & my buddy never even thought to look at that.!
The bottom 1 is the 1 that had the plastic part ripped out.!!
I straightened the bottom pin & it fired up like a champ.!
I was working on this for a guy thats why i didnt know if he had done something like that.
here is a few pix of it.

Next step will prob be replacing the bottom USB.!

No problem at all. I had one sent to me to work on that had the same no power issue and after messing around the 5vsb/5v FET switch I looked at the USB ports and saw pretty much the exact same thing, though both ports were trashed on this board the bottom one was the problem.

You're better off to replace both of them as it's just much easier to swap that assembly than tearing the whole thing apart to just replace the one.

RDC Your a king! biggrin.gif
I had the same problem. Console was not turning on and PSU was allways orange.
Checked the USB port and saw the black plastic was snaped off and usb pins were shorted. Straightened them with a screwdriver and BAM!  pop.gif

Dammit I wish my no-power exploitable Falcon box was this easy to fix lol

About the usb port though.. unless you absolutely need that extra port, I say just leave it be and cover it up.
