Xclamp Mod..done!

you probaby dont have each screw tighted the same amount like take you xclamp mod the right top screw is prob tighter than the bottom left screw and its slowly causing the board to warp.

My advice (from experience)
Go back and untighten all of them start over and tighten the screws down form 6 1/2 to 7 1/2 turns for each screw

Nope I haven't had that problem here, as long as you start out with tightening each screw slowly then slowly increase the tork you shouldn't.

ok...tried it again, this time every bolt is excatly the same tension...you still get a slight warping effect....cant see how the mod can be done without the board slighly doing this....anybody else had the same problem!

check the little black plastic tab thats under the motherboard right in the middle where the dvd rests.  make sure its aligned right into the little hole in the metal chassis.  if the tab were not aligned right, it would cause flexing like u said.

Some people drill out the holes that held the X-clamp to the case. That allows the screw heads to drop down and not flex the MB.

Try tightening the bolts like this.

1      3

4      2
I'm not postive it'll work, but I ride BMX freestyle or whatever you want to call it and we have to tighten our stems (things that hold the handlebars) that way because it provides even tension and keeps our handlebars from slipping and moving.

The numbers are in steps that you should tighten them. The concept is to even everything up by tightening the opposite side of the screw. For example, you tighten 1 first, then you tighten 2 and it evens the tension with 1. Then you tighten 3 and it unbalances everything again, but when you tight up the 4th one, everything is straight again. And just make sure you apply the same ammount or torque and rotations to each bolt.
I'm sorry if you already tried this or already knew about the concept. I just explained it all because not all people know about bolt tensions haha.

Yeah Do It 1,3,4,2. 1 being the top right and 3 the bottom left and so on, and yes check the washers and MAKE SURE you drill out that shielding it helps. Because it give the MOBO a little for room anf the screws to drop. If it doesn't work after this I say heatgun or get it reballed

Also before i forget

http://xbox-experts....al.php?n=hybrid

This should help alot. You have to sand down the standoffs to 3mm so the board doesnt flex i knew i forgot something.

O and you should pick up a falcon CPU heatsink and a new GPU heatsink if you really want to save this 360

I cut a hole where the screws were too high on the metal chassis and pretty much made it so the all the screws are visible.
