I had an E74 console and fixed it easily with xclamp replacement and overheating.

E74 is either GPU issue or ANA chip issue. To check which it is, push down on the ANA chip and apply pressure. If this sorts the problem then you know the ANA chip is to blame. Otherwise it is the GPU.

I fixed my error (GPU issue) by replacing the xclamps and then overheating the GPU (NOT THE CPU).

Has been working for ages now!

However, if the problem is the ANA chip then it will not overheat by itself. For that a heatgun is needed and it is a lot harder of a job. I guess I was lucky that mine was a GPU issue.

Just fixed a E74 console yesterday. It Was the GPU causing the error. First I did the Xclamp replacement...this did not fix it. So next I did a reflow with my trusty old heat gun. I would not recommend over heating your console because it can cause warpage, you need to heat evenly. Next I would highly recommend lapping the GPU heatsink and adding some cooling mods so this error wont come back.
