Great Job Team Xecuter hopes it works as well as version 2.  biggrin.gif

i wished they spruced it up some for V3, dry.gif  something like a nice plastic shell would have been nice but never the less great response to the lite-on drive

with these new connectivity kits coming out, would you even need to solder anything to get the drive key from the liteons?

Xecuter - i might not be the only on but the on/off switch on my version 2 is very dodgy. On mine if you touch the on/off switch the board looses power. Fidle.bend it a bit more and it comes on again. Apart from that version 2 was great. So im sure 3 will be even better.

I have an original "XCK", and it's nice, but it was way overpriced. This thing should be like $5.

You'll still need to solder the two bridges as they are disconnected at PCB level.

The same way most commercial programmers work - you make the sockets available from the exterior of the case  rolleyes.gif

hey guys,

I'm just wondering and maybe you could help me out a little bit.

i kind a lost track of those liteon babys (never had one... last one i flashed was a benq drive...) - so is it now possible to extract the liteon key and insert it into a nice sammy or hitachi or whatever drive?

well I'm pretty sure it's possible, cause I've read those articles every now and then about soldering a rs232 interface or something like that... but I've always thought this was just the beginning and it was no way near end-user friendly...

so, to sum it up:

a) buy the new xck v3
cool.gif solder 2,3,4 wire to your new liteon drive
c) simply as hell extract the drive key
d) inject it into a new drive
e) have fun

well right? maybe someone could correct my statement (the content, not the misspellings ;D)

Thats no different to saying all we (XS members) are doing is taking the hard work from the guys responsible for coming up with the hacks and using it to make or save money. I'm sure theres a few guys in here charging for a flashing service because some people aren't confident enough to do it themselves, (although they could if they really wanted) are these guys clowns?? Have you flashed a 360 using the hacks created by others, i'm sure you have so this makes you a clown also ?
