Ya, cause there isn't thousands of post already in the rapid fire thread in the hardware modding section from people making their own rapid fire or people selling complete controllers, kits, chips and all on ebay. Why does everyone act like this is new?

Well yeah, it's not new in terms of what it does but it's yet another way to do it... just cuz every other street corner has a guy selling crack doesn't meant I won't be pissed off that another guy started selling on my street corner now.

They stopped producing their standard cases for this? I can't wait to see the install, thinking it will be like 2 more wires. These guys are pretty creative, very curious to see what they come up with. This post has been edited by chadives: Sep 16 2008, 11:46 PM

Everyone freaks out at the mention of "rapid fire" or "turbo" every time. New accessories, no matter what it is should be exciting and welcome. I remember back to the NES days when NINTENDO made first party rapid fire controllers for the first time and it was AWESOME!
I get the argument that you may be beaten on Live....deal with it or trust programmers/developers to put limits if it becomes a problem and don't expect anyone to get banned from live for using rapid fire.
it's here now and there are already crappy 360 3rd party controllers with rapid/turbo on the market for a while. It is not going away no matter how many times you whine about how unfair it is.

Some of you guys take your gaming far too seriously. A rapid fire case is far from the end of the world. There are already plenty of rapid fire controllers out there that don't require the effort of hardware modifications.
As it was said, there are rather easy ways of detecting the use of basic rapid fire in a game. (unless XCM got smart and added a circuit to randomly pulse)
Not too mention that XCM is always cost-prohibitive. They sell some nasty overpriced hardware. I don't think you have to worry about Joe User getting ahold of this specific product any time soon.
