The xbox has a network card prebuilt so what type of wireless adapter are you talking about?

I think any of them would work...I have a net gear and just run the std. cable from the router to my box...they sell a wireless adapter, but haven't been able to justify the cost

Well if this is the one you are talking about;
http://www.xbox.com/en-US/hardware/xboxwirelessadapter.htm

Then you would be wanting to maximize the performance with a 802.11g router but a 802.11b would work as well, it states that they are compatible with all.

Are you looking for those with this already to see what problems they might have ran into?

other than the wireless adaptor for the xbox you also need a wireless router or switch.. I have the Dlink DI-624 it's a wireless router that is xbox compatible :)

If you plan on using software such as the Kai evolution engine to play online you need a wireless router which permits packet scanning. Most D-link, Netgear, and linksys wireless routers do not have this feature. There is a in depth forum about it somewhere on here.
