Ethernet Port Stopped Working
« on: February 03, 2020, 04:45:00 PM »

hi everyone,
after an electrical storm today my 360's ethernet port decided to quit on me.the  xbox was off at the time of the lightning strike and it seems to be the only thing damaged.i've searched and searched for some kind of workaround to get back online,my options seem to be:

1- wireless adapter - don't want to pay $100 for it and $50 for a wireless router i don't need plus i heard it will increase you ping times which is very important
2- send of to be repaired - really don't want to wait 6-8 weeks

is there any way to use the usb port to get online?like a usb to ethernet adapter.also i read one post saying there might be a blown fuse on the motherboard, can anyone verify this?i haven't taken my box apart yet but i don't plan on sending it off for the warranty.any suggestions would be appreciated.also i am positive my cables and router are good.
