Dvd Drive Wont Open After A Screwed Talismoon Fan Mod!

Hi,

I did talismoon fan mod, and I had the dvd port upside down (it actually can fit, it is true) and the xbox only turn on for a second, and then shut down. I check the cable back and realized what I do wrong. Corrected it but  now the drive wont open/not responding, but other that that work just fine. I can go to xbox dashboard though, and when I pressed the eject button, the dashboard write closing/opening/ reading but the drive does not move at all. When i said i put the dvd port upside down, I mean the port, not changing the other end of the port with the other end.  Did I fried something? Any help will be appreciated. What should I do know? I checked other post that had similar or exact problem with me have no real solution. (Reflashed the xbox, cleaning up the dvd drive, chech the rubber band that hold the white thing, etc) I these dont work. I was wondering if I change my dvd drive will solve the problem? Any advise? Thanks!!

Push the tray in when it is attempting to  then it  should open...
Since you reflashed your dvd I guess it wont be a bad flash
To fix it replace the belt...

I did the whole paper clip thing as the drive still not responding eventhough the tray had manually opened. The belt is fine. I had it replaced. The problem is not the drive stucked or something, but it is like is not received power supply. It just not responding.

you fried it.

the TSOP will need to be read with an external programer, if you dont have a backup of your firmware, so you can replace it with another drive

Thanks scuba156 and Wilhelm_I for the quick reply. One stupid mistake will cost me around 60 euro for a new drive. Hahaha! I learned my lesson though. Thanks again guys!!
