Freezing/white Lines/rrod ?
« on: June 26, 2008, 08:01:00 PM »

Hello,

I bought a used xbox 360 sunday and I tested it out and it seemed to play ok. Since sunday I've played it for maybe an hour at the most. I loaded up a game today and immediately it froze before going to the dashboard and had white vertical lines all over the screen. Eventually I was able to boot the game after trying twice but within 2 mins It froze again and I got the rrod. Well after trying to reset it various time I eventually got the game going again only to freeze with the dashes again. The guy who sold it to me said it was a used one from eb games and gave me the receipt should I have any problems with it. It has a one year warranty but it's flashed for backups. So my question is should I take it back to eb games and get another one and try to heat up the sticker and flash the drive again  or just do the rrod fix with the washers and screws? I can't believe after 1 hour of game play I'm getting this error already. I assume since I'm getting constant freezing then that means permanent rrod is just around the corner.

thanks

Get your "help me commit warranty fraud" bullshit out of here. You voided your warranty, now deal with the consequences. You say "It has a one year warranty but it's flashed for backups." - wrong, it's been opened, it's been flashed, it has NO warranty.
