this is a bridged solder joint under CPU/GPU/RAM
The X Clamp replacement might fix it

AS5 is a "heatsink paste" if it is a paste for computer chips it should be okay, it will just not conduct heat as well as AS5

If the problem was your XBox 360's hair was wet, then yes. As far as reflowing solder with a hair dryer - ain't gonna happen, cap'n.

man there's tons of topics on this forum showing how to fix it!!!!
only way to find it for sure is trying it out yourself. I've done the x clamp and add two fans all learning it from here!
and it worked so try it out man don't be afraid to fix it!!

i dont have a heat gun can i just try to use a hairdryer to heat melt the gpu and cpu is it safer than a heatgun?

Terrible idea. Don't even think about trying that. Save your money and buy a heat gun. Its an absolute necessity for xbox 360 owners who fix rrod themselves.

seriously, i would even suggest you try and fix it yourself (especially with a heatgun). send it off to someone who will do it correctly and wont kill it
