Recently i had to take apart my 360 because the drive wasn't opening. Well there was a lot of resistance to the tray sliding out so I re-lubricated everything and got the tray moving in and out fine. i plug the power in and tested it by hitting the eject button and it moves in and out fine.
I reassemble everything and there something about having the top of the drive assembly on. when the drive closes all the way you hear a clunk sound like it's stuck, but as far as I can see there isn't anything catching on the housing. When i go to eject the drive you can hear the motor running to try to eject the tray but it won't move. If I pull the top of the housing off when it's stuck like this it'll open up.
I'm completely confused as to what is going on. I have looked all over the forum for someone having a similar issue before I annoy y'all with another repost, but I hadn't found anything. i'd like to fix this so I'm not having to purchase another drive and go through the hassle of reflashing for a new one, especially since I have no idea how to do this.
Any help would be awesome. Thank You.
