I have been having some flaky results with this new Arcade console. It has a new power brick and the other heatsync and HDMI. Not sure.. is that Falcon?
Yesterday I get it, flash the firmware and turn it on. All good. I pop in a back up and the back up starts to load then RROD!!!
I unplug it then turn it on. I get to the dashboard and go to play the back up again. It installs an update when I try to start the game again. It runs and update, apparently from the game disk as I am not on live, and everything works fine.
I discover the BenQ drive is a huge POS compared to Samsung. I spoof a Samsung drive and put it in.
Everything works fine. This thing is reading everything I throw at it and loading much faster than the awful BenQ.
Today, I decide to try the HDMI. I connect it, play a little works fine. I try to play again, and before it gets to the dashboard I get e71. WTF!!!. Some research shows this could be a storage device problem and something related to a dashboard update. I eject the disk, remove my memstick, put in the HD from my original 360, then turn it on. It makes it to the dashboard then installs another update. Everything appears to be working fine, no E71 games are playing. I sign on to live without any game in the drive and get another update. Again everything is working fine.
Is it possible these strange goings on are caused by lack of updates in the right order? What is with the e71?
Thanks
