Xbox 360 Rf Module Question
« on: June 13, 2008, 01:14:00 PM »

It doesn't work that way, at all. If ya have a problem with the Wireless controllers connecting make sure you have the controller Synced to the 360, use the PnC cable to force it to Sync, just plug it up. Try the controllers on another 360 first to make sure it's not them with the problem, then try another RF board. You're not going to be able to repair it and from the sound of it couldn't even if it was explained how.

then try another RF board.

I had the same problem...  my controllers would not stay connected for more than a few minutes, even with the PnC cable attached they'd loose connection... ended up switching the rf module to fix the problem. no chance fixing it by hand ;p

rdc i will try to connect a usb controller as soon as my brother comes home so i can grab one off of him
the problem is it was always good up to til i did that rf module color revert mod thats on here

A Wired controller will connect just fine, that's a completely different thing and has nothing to do with the RF board at all, I said use a PnC cable. That will 'force' the controller to Sync to the 360, doesn't mean it will stay Synced but it's something to try.

If you've messed with the RF board, and knowing this before hand would have been useful, then the thing is most likely shot now and you'll need a new one. It's possible you did something to it that can be undone, but I wasn't there to see it and don't have it to check, so I have no idea if it can even be fixed, odds are it can't, not easily anyway. You're best off getting another one and taking better care of it.
