Yo i did an x-clamp fix on my 360 using lawdawg's method and i also applied artic silver 5 smile.gif everything worked fine for a month, now it's just freezing up from time to time in gta 4 when loading (i get a red checkerd screen) and it gave me a RROD once. At the moment it's working again, but i'm still a bit worried.

I have put some VGA ram heatsinks from Zalman on the top ram chips, southbridge and the chip above the GPU heatsink.

I thought that the heatsink on that chip above the GPU heatsink might cuased it because it's underneath the air duct, so it maybe will affect the airflow?

I have got a heatsink there as well and it doesnt really affect the airflow...
Just tighten the screws a bit if it keeps doing that.
It would also be nice if you could tell us your secondary error code.

Try baking the gpu and if that doesn't help, using a heatgun.

I forgot to read the error code, but that chip above the GPU core, what kind of chip is that? does it really needs that extra cooling? huh.gif

I got about 8 of those heatsinks and they didn't fit on bottom (they were too thick) so i just put them on all the 'big' chips on top laugh.gif
