I have done the Xclamp replacement after getting the RROD over a year ago and have had no problems whatsoever.  I have ran alot of newer games for hours on end with no issues.  I was running GTA:IV today for about 3 hours and just got the RROD with the ring code '0110'.  I am thinking I may have to get some small heatsinks for the ram or something.

I figure I would post this as a possible warning for those who have done this mod or who have an older xbox.

I have not attempted a fix yet, as I don't have the time this week.  Weird thing, I let the unit cool and it booted fine into the main menu.  But it crapped out after running GTA:IV after about a minute.  I am going to probably have to use a heat gun and whatnot, I just don't have the time right now.  I have a question for those who did do a pressure test:

What did you use to put pressure on the ram 'blocks' under the GPU heatsink? SHould I use a vinyl washer or something like an aluminum washer to transfer heat?  I definitely do not want to insulate it!  Also , what about the ones underneath the board.  My xclamp replacement 'bolts' have big heads and puts a bigger gap between the bottom of the board and the metal cage.  I think I may have to find bolts that have a much smaller head in order to put the proper pressure on the bottom of the board.

Go for the aluminium washers they are heatresistent and transfer the heat better...
