Hey all,
  I switched boards with a working one and everything worked fine except that it couldn't play xbox 360 games.  I noticed that someone had removed the epoxy off one end of the tsop of the damaged board.  So the damaged board the only thing that is wrong is that it can't control the snake gear motor.  Given that it functions for the most part, what are the odds of returning the damaged board back to a state of full functionality?  Can I install a passkey and re-flash it back to original settings?

Does anyone know where to get the snake motor controller chip?

It is number BD7909FS.

If not. I guess I will start a string on buying a bricked drive to get the chip from it.
