Hey All,
Been out of the scene for a very long time. I flashed my fat benq drive a few years ago when I was in college using a VIA card. While in college my system got banned for running backups. I am looking to upgrade to the newest CFW but dont really know the newest procedures or what the best CFW version is I am looking for.
Since I dont need live access is there a firmware that doesnt need all the checks?
Im just looking for a CFW that can play my newer backups. We dont allow my youngest onto Xbox live.
I have used jungleflasher in the past and still have a backup of my DVD key.
Thanks for the help,

The last version of custom firmware for the benq was LT Plus-benq-v1.1, this will play latest XGD3 backups. Suggest you download the latest jungleflasher and guide first and have a read up. I would return the drive back to stock firmware first then manually update the dashboard to the latest version before putting the custom firmware on the drive. You should still be good to go with your via chipset.
