it's cheaper than ODDE for sure.

If it is cheaper I wouldn't say by much.

Disc route you would require:
-Replacement PCB
-Liteon drive chassis, or complete drive if you can't get the chassis by itself.
-iHas flashed DVD burner or one compatible with BurnerMax
-X360USB Pro 1 or 2 to flash the replacement PCB
-Good quality blank DVD DLs to be able to get 'safe' burns that actually work 100%, cost will vary with how many you need or how many fail during burning

ODDE Route:
-xK3y
-Standard external USB hard drive that can be used to store other things for other devices at the same time

I don't know about you but one of them seems like the much better option!

There a lot of very specific purchases needed to go the disc route whereas with the ODDE you just need a hard drive that could be reused anywhere you would normally use a USB HD.

This is exactly why my cheap customers are gripping. Everyone wants too much money. It's sad. what is happening.

nothing is affordable. Really a shame. I am getting sick of it  lately.
