Its probably either a really old liteon firmware or it has the wrong drive in there.  Does the console have HDMI?  Whats the make date?

The console is an early one without HDMI, made in 2006. What does this have to do with reflashing the drive?

Gives us an idea of what console it is. That is indeed a spoofed drive. Back then the drive would have been a sammy or hitachi.

The key is probably still on the drive possibly. I'm not sure. Also I don't think you can even spoof LT 3.0 I think it leads to an instant ban now..

I'm not bothered about the console being banned, as it never goes on Live anyway. I'm also not too concerned about using modded firmware, stock is fine. My main priority is to simply get the Xbox working again. So with this in mind, is there anything that I can do?
I genuinely do appreciate the help so far.

You need to figure out the original drive type, put stock firmware on that drive with the key, then update to get around the E66 with your correct drive in it.  You will need to figure out if its a Samsung or Hitachi drive.  Depending on when it was made it can have a Samsung MS25 or MS28, or a Hitachi 46 or 47 if its a 2006 console.  You need to get the key off the liteon drive and hope that is the proper one.

If this is to much hassle and you can send it in to someone who might have more drives then you to test to figure it out, buy a variety drives yourself to test or buy a new xbox

Thanks for your help smile.gif
Would it be possible to extract the key and reflash the drive simply using JungleFlasher? I would I need some kind of probing tool for the key?
