Thanks, garbage. I assume damn near every console found on shelves is going to be this new drive as well...I just purchased a slim for the first time and they took the damn inspection window to see the date out. That's garbage, so I take it out of the box, the console was made in Octoboer '11 so I'm just assuming it's the 16D5S 1175 drive.

This is what I'm doing.
Going to attempt my first Kamikaze hack. I ordered a tx board in case things go wrong. This is just a trial and error process I'm doing. So what I'm trying to do.
Get the key in case all hell breaks loose.
Test my drilling skills.
If drilling goes wrong I have a replacement board and would be on standby till a method to write the FW is released.
And I just realized the replacement board will NOT work with this drive. ( That's just an assumption though ) as it's designed for the previous drive.
