Funnily enough it starts getting errors at 49% and it fails installing on xbox at the same point.  all other games burn and work fine except AC-R, Batman and the new lego harry potter, all ran through abgx and burnt the same way as everyother game (img burn, ihas with burnermax, verbatim 00
003 discs, burnt at 4x with opc and ive tried 2.4x aswell, same problem).  what-else could be the problem?

Just a thought but maybe worth running them through ABGX (your images) and then try burning them off again.
Just in case anything went wrong with the injecting of the T.Data

I had a problem with Lego Harry Potter 5-7 too.   Ran it through new abgx, and it patched successfully.  Burned it at 2.4x on Verbatim with iHas624 w/burnermax.   The burn and verify went great... no issues there.   First attempt to launch it gave a disc unreadable error.  Opened/closed the tray and the game booted to the title screen.  Then it went to a black screen, no errors.   Finally I installed it to the hdd and it runs great from there.   It's the only one I've had a problem with so far... no idea why.

mine fails when installing to the harddrive at 49%, i ran it through abgx 1.0.6 again and and it said fully verified already (everything green) and it still doesnt work.  really strange.  I also checked the .dvd files and they were set to the correct layerbreak.  Have burnt a few other titles todday and they work perfect like skyrim + gow3

Have you checked your burned discs with KProbe2? Maybe there are too many max. PI/PIF errors which makes the Xbox rejecting the burned discs. The Xbox drive seems to be very sensitive to that.

Max. PI should be below 300 and max. PIF should be not more than 6. The lower the better.
You can find KProbe2 at kprobe.com.

Maybe worth a try.

And you might also want to change your burn settings in case your PI/PIF values are too high.
Someone did a bunch of test with different settings on the ImgBurn forum and he uses slighty different settings than the recommend ones.

Read it yourself: http://forum.imgburn...mp;#entry136519
Search for: Results - 8th Attempt

Clear OPC History
Force Hypertuning - On
Online Hypertuning - Off

Speed 4x
OPC off

I use those myself with my iHAS-624 and my PI/PIF values are never over 60/4 on Verbatims.
With the standard settings I got around 500/8 and some discs didn't even got verifyed at all on ImgBurn so I could throw them away.

Thanks for the link, I cuoldnt see what settings that user was using though.  Where do you clear opc and turn hypertuning on? just running a kprobe now

Heres the kprobe results

Date                     : 1/5/2012 3:11:40 AM
Model                    : 0-0-1-0 ATAPI   iHAS124   B      AL0S
Disc                     : DVD+R DL , MKM003 [Mitsubishi Chemical Corporation]
Speed                    : Max
ECC blocks sum (PI/PIF)  : 8/1
Scanned range            : 0 - 4267008
Sampling count           : 248699
Errors                   : 0
PI Max                   : 1447
PI Average               : 10.52
PI Total                 : 330285
PIF Max                  : 220
PIF Average              : 3.86
PIF Total                : 121203

So those results are way too high.  Gonna try change the settings in imgburn and see if that helps

I tried the settings mentioned - force HT, disable online HT, clear opc and 4x + opc off and still get : PI max:434, PIF max:99.  It all goes well until 50%, thats where PI and PIF spike for about 1-2% and imgburn fails verifying at the same percentage.  Its only with the 3x games I mentioned, everything else burns and runs fine.  What could be causing this?

I literally just have a pc for burning.  ll un-needed services disabled and no startup programs etc at all, no av on the machine, its offline.  I dont use d-tools.  I literally have imgburn, abgx, jungleflasher ad a few other modding related tools installed, nothing that runs in the background while burning.  This pc has been burning away quite happily for over a year and its only the x games mentioned that cause any problem.  Could discs cause the issue?  I mean they are verbs, but Ive heard of fake or bad quality verbs floating around, never had one before, but its all i can think of now sad.gif

The best Verbatims for XGD3 backups are the ones Made in Singapore.
Made in Taiwan are not as good and Made in India are absolutely atrocious.

Check what's on your cake box. And if you don't habe the Singapore ones try to get some of those next time you buy some.

dont used to topology file that doesnt work I had wasted 10 memorex disc and 5 verbatim disc.

Download the the new ABGX360 1.0.6 and run the it make sure you set it to level 3 first.
I just now all my burn are working . Im using memorex disc 4x.
also tested with verbatim disc too and it all work.
If you been using other disc give it a try I been using memorex for many years and had no problem.
I wasted about 15 disc becaused of the topology bin file.  So is not the memorex disc is the file .
I just used the new ABGX360 1.0.6 yesterday and had made 20 backups and it work good.

I'm getting the same problems with mine, PI and PIF nice and low everywhere else, with a huge spike (lowest was around 340 with the settings mentioned). That occurs right around the layer break. I have the ihas 124 B drive flashed w/ burner max. Drive in my 360 is a liteon 83850c; XGD2 titles burn and play just fine- however, with XGD3 titles (so far tried dark souls and BF3, both run through ABGX 1.06), I get the generic "play game" icon which goes to black screen, doesn't load, and then kicks back to the dashboard. I will have to try killing all processes / background programs, and disconnecting from the network when burning to see if that makes a difference.  Using verbatim mk003 discs, not sure where they're made (threw out the label... oops).

Please see previous posts, games ran through abgx already and it patched them correctly.

The problem seems to be around 50% of burning (probably aruond where the layerbreak is) and only happens on some games, not all xgd3's

I just bought some new verbs and they work perfect getting 24/4 now in kprobe.  Must have just been some bad batch of verbs I had.  maybe try a different batch of discs if you are having the same issue I had.

Just curious which games you're having problems with?  So far I've only tried bf3 and dark souls- what's strange is the discs verify 100% with ABGX (no errors), however they won't play or let me install.

EDIT: just realized I haven't tried rebooting / power cycling the drive after clearing OPC.  Hoping this could be the cause...

Pretty sure the india ones are now considered very good and have been for a good few months. Although Singapore still best allegedly. I have no source to link to but read on a couple of a sites a few months ago from well known members, think it was cdfreaks.

I have done nothing to my stock iHAS 224, except install burner max firmware and use imgburn and I have had perfect burns so far, except for my one bad burn which I can only say was a bad disc... Everything else has been fine since... Didnt have to clear opc and I still burn at 2.4x, its worth the wait...
