Is anyone else having an issue burning the back ups?

I am using an IHAS drive with the burner MAX software installed to it. I have a backup of GOW3 along with NFS the run .iso on my hdd, Im using the new XBC to inject the universal ap2.5 that was released and after doing that I go along with using image burn to burn them, the first 2 times burning GOW3 it took the usual 30-40 mins, it said it was successful but then when I flipped the disc around to see the burn, you can see only like half the disc was actually burned while the rest was blank. Did the same procedure again and went along to burn a 3rd time and this time after saying it was successful again, flipped the disc over, now if show's the whole disc was burned and the game worked.

Then went along to burn NFS the run and same issue, shows half burned after it saying it was successful... it's like a hit or miss or something, and I am using high quality verbatim disc... anyone have an idea why this is happening and how I can get successful burn? thanks!

I got this 2 times while trying to write a "normal" data iso on an ihAS624 with burner max. Seems there's a bug floating around in the firmware.

I think i saw on Team Xecuter website that they have the topology files for ixtreme LT+ 3.0
Extract from their  website.
There are currently two patches available:
1) XGD2.COD-BO.COD-MW2.Halo-Reach.top.data.v1.bin

SUITABLE FOR THE FOLLOWING GAMES ONLY:
a) Call of Duty: Black Ops
cool.gif Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2
c) Halo: Reach (XGD2 ONLY, don’t use this on backups of the XGD3 beta)

These games have the exact same topology and therefore can share the same profile data. This was confirmed by doing at least 35 iterations of profile data for each game and analyzing the results. Over millions of measurements, not a single one deviated from the median by more than 1 degree, and there were no cumulative effects at all. These games are identical in the way they were mastered.

2) XGD3.Profile.ID.F87A804E.top.data.v1.bin

Suitable for all XGD3 games with this disc profile ID:
0C3DF524599094E6CB87ECC8-F87A804E

This covers all current XGD3 releases (at the time of writing) except for the Halo: Reach XGD3 beta.

I see now that the bins are to be injected with xbox backup creator 2.9

this is normal as long as the burn is verified you are good...

(correct me if im wrong, when the laser moves closer to the outside of the disc that is spinning faster then the inside the laser adjusts sometimes causing visible differences, internal laptop burners are a real good example of this)

I don't think this is normal as you can see from the picture below, it would state both burns are successful but you can clearly see more data was written on one disc then the other. Both disc are GOW3 burned with iHAS Max Burner with injected AP.25 and both burned under the same settings with OPC off, the 360 detects the left disc and not the right

Open the eprom utility click the Option tab click on clear opc history each time before a burn

I will try the OPC feature enabled later tonight when I get a chance to report back on success rate or not

Can anyone else confirm they have this same issue as us? Maybe it is a bug...

What reliable sources of topology data patches there are on the Internet, actually? - Hope this question is not inappropriate. I would be grateful for a response.

And also does the previous AP 2.5 patch from ABGX360 influences somehow the patching process with topology data or it is irrelevant? In other words I have an iso. of MW2 already patched with ABGX360, so can it be patched with topology data and will it still be playable or do I have to do a clean rip and than patch it using Xbox Backup Creator?

Quite simply:NONE!! If you want to be safe online I STRONGLY suggest you just re-rip yourself instead of trying someone else's online patches (Don't say you weren't warned!!)

As for the AP2.5 replay question: that's a good one, I think to be sure (untill the new AGBX) you might re-build the image to make sure it gets stripped-off, mind you: The FW prolly looks for the replay only if there is no topo, so I wouldn't worry too much. Just re-rip ur AP2.5

I have just dropped by to say once again: C4EVA ur a frickn artist man!! THANKYOUx3 This LT3 works flawless in my XP so far with every title!! using BenQ/Ihas3 series. No errors, no nothing!! Bloody beautiful!!!

Anyone having issues should consult the 'trained professional' who flashed their drive(s) as there should be none.... if you are that person then you should have this working very easily, as it has been made very easy for you. All the info is very-much readily available (for the most part, u should really know it all from following this saga by now, if not:U sure picked a bad time to jump-in.. or good depending) If your question hasn't been answered it's probably for a good reason. LT+3.0 is DEFINITELY worth having done correctly by a pro the first time as I would hazard a guess (touch wood) it will be the last time for a while.....Those ppl who have endured the many re-flashings and re-burnings created by the AP2.5 nightmare will enjoy a reprieve (we hope)

If you do everything the right way and you *should* be fine. Don't do things the right way (download etc..) and you may get a rude shock at some point...

Anywayz nuffsaid I'm off to find C4's donate button ....

PS: I am a little worried about the potential for 0800 drive-wear as rips now take significantly longer and the measurement process seems to really put the drive through it's paces (It sure sounds like it anyway ;-) I'm hoping we eventually get a wider range of 0800-able drives in the future (sammys maybe? - I can't remember the verdict on their capabilities in that dept.) At any rate this process truly reminds me what a truly remarkable feat C4 has achieved here!

Dude IDK what's going on inside your head, but you should go get checked or something, You're frightening me.

Now, Kill Crazy - your second output (Half burned disk) really bothers me.
Don't turn OPC on - It won't make your burns any better, as the issue you're having has nothing to do with that. I'm trying to find the link to LIGHTNING UK's Tests with regards to C4's FW. But what you're experiencing is weird. I'll burn some backups tonight and see if I come across this 'issue'.

I can confirm the issue. All my burnermax burns have been fine then one day I copied & burned two games. Both games came out like your results. Yesterday I patched my MW3 iso and the burn came out fine. No settings were changed so I'm not sure what the actual issue is. I have an iHas-324b.

Hi.wants to change the speed of LT+2.0 x12 to x8. I found the sectors 0000BFB1,0000BFBD,0000BFC9 but they are disabled( ff,ff,ff). there is a chance to change the speed at LT 2.0 cheaper because of all the reads?are existing non-stealth version 1.41 (x2, x5, x8, x12) for Benq. does not want to use again re-burn dvd or create the topology data or  RGH.

and as for that, for my first attempt today to burn nfs the run, I did as you said by opening eprom utility, clicked on the option tab, click clear opc  history, ALSO i made sure to have check marked on "Smart Burn, Force Hyper Tuning and Over Speed Writing" - Reason I did that was because I read on another thread it's recommend to have that on so I gave that a shot. I also enabled Perform OPC in image burn, then went ahead with the burn and it worked like a charm. Now which exactly did the trick im not sure or maybe it was just a lucky first shot of the day, but at least for now I'll be content with that and If I get any new stuff to back up and burn I'll post my results to see if I still have that issue. Thanks again!

Most Users seem to have trouble when they use truncate backups and not Verbs as recomended. You could try clearing the Hard Drive Cache.

I am using the IHAS and verb combo and getting verified disks. I figured the problem was a universal topography but maybe I need to do some more investigation with my burns.
