Do you have Force Hyper Tuning and Online Hyper Tuning enabled? You should get better results with those options enabled. I have Verbatim MKM-001 and MKM-003, but I wanted to try out some other discs also, so I bought a pack of Quantum Optical discs, and they work great. They burn successfully at 4x speed and verify 100% with imgburn. They also get great results with KProbe and install to the HDD fine.

Sounds like a SATA drivers issue, try uninstalling then re-installing them.

Also, check power cable for drive.

This is NOT a media issue, had this sort of weird thing happen a few times over the years with various drives, it's nearly always drivers or cables.

....Oh, also, try changing SATA port to IDE\AHCI\RAID\ (change whatever it is to one of those and reboot in bios)...Occassionally bios settings get reset to default due to buggy motherboards, especially these days more than the past and you might not have noticed it, resetting your storage controller mode etc.
