So are we going to need LTplus v3.0 for Hitachi? Or are we fine playing backups on live with the v2? A little confused.

Ok, so I updated my dash to 13604 like a dumbas$.  Long story short, I thought the system update file that I downloaded was 13599, instead it was 13604.  Anyhow, same results.  XGD3 games (MW3 & BM:AC)do not load.  XGD2 games load without any issues.  Can someone with a 13599 dash confirm whether XGD3 games work or not?

Don't worry too much about the slip up.  I have two 59s so when I flashed one that had update 13599 and found that XDG3 backups weren't working, I updated the 2nd system to 13604 and flashed it to see if the XDG3 backups would work (they didn't).

Although, considering that the Hitachi 59s are not supposed to support AP2.5 checks, shouldn't this dash revision not matter?

I just flashed a Hitach 47 with LT2.0 and latest dash.

BF3 loads OK
CODMW3 fails with disc errors.
CODMW2 works OK

Tried two dvd of CODMW3 which I know work on my phat liteon.

flashed a hitachi today,v47.tried 4 different xgd3 backups burnt with an Ihas burner flashed with burner max, they all worked flawlessly.
however, any truncated xgd3 image would give me a "disc unsupported" error.

so i guess 2.0 for hitachi only supports burner max backups?

I'm having the same issue with a 59 model, but it seem c4e is only working on lt+2.01 for 79's.

What version dash are you on and are your burns 100%?  Using Liteon iHas drive to burn?

Used dashes 13599 and 13604 on two Hitachi 59s.  Did not use an iHas drive.  Used imgBurn truncate method.  Just ordered an iHas drive and will post results once it gets here.

So I spoofed my 79 to 78 years ago back in 06 i believe. I was able to successfully flash to lt 2.0 this evening. I go to play both Batman and NBA2k12 both using imgburn and truncate and neither work. Is it a known fact that truncated discs do not work on the hitachi's?

They were both burned with verbatim discs as well. I will most likely be ordering an IHAS model B drive tonight so I can start doing full burns with BurnerMax. What is the best place to order the drive from?

read every page

i guess if your running truncated discs they don't work on Hitachi 78's, so best plan is to buy a new burner to cure the problem and use the burner max option ??

or wait for the Hitachi update see if that cures the issue ??

XDG2 working fine XDG3 unreadable as the rest out there

Tried the firmware on both a 78 and 79....all is well....properly burnt backups and no problems, playing need for speed run, halo wars and MW3 with no hiccups.....I guess its all in the burning process.

Good info Alcoholx

This means my 79 @4b00 probably won't need the update ... in the mean time, I patiently wait for my ihas to arrive  sleeping.gif

Confirmed for the 46

No disk worked when burned with truncate

Bought ihas 124b

AC,batman, skyrim working with burner max, 16.99 at new egg flashed like a charm and burns like a charm

just my 2 cents.

side note my 46 is 103 years old today and is giving up the will to live. It freezes constantly even after a few pot tweaks... gonna take her out back soon put her down.
