I've got games working that we're burnt using ixtreme burner max and some don't.

Non of the truncated disks work.

Xd2 all work.

Xd3 original work.

Brand new laser and pot tweaked etc on hitachi 47 drive.

For all those out there saying it works and it's our laser it's not it's the firmware!

Latest JungleFlasher Download

For 78/79 drives, there is a known issue, probably due to these drives supporting AP25, c4eva knows about this and is working on a fix, hopefully it will be soon so all Hitachi users can rejoice together at the greatness that is LT 2.0 Hitachi :-).

Sorry if this has been mentioned im in a rush to get to work and didnt have time to read 4 pages but i believe i may know the issue for the drives not working.

Although i havent tried lt 2.0 as i sold the 360 with my v79 in it, i did however have a similar issue getting xgd3 originals to work.

Basically it was an old banned elite that i took the benq from for 0800 and replaced with hitachi v79. As it was an old console from the ban wave of 09 or whenever it had an old dash so when i flashed 1.91 to the drive the 360 didnt recognize it nor did the drive.

So i had to flash it to stock, insert xgd2 game with the dash update that reflashes drives to the revisions that can read xgd3 ORIGINALS, reflash with 1.91

I used Dead Island (xgd2 version) to do the update and after that the xgd3 originals played fine as well as xgd2 backups.

So for anyone having these issues if you are using an old console and or old drive you will have to sign into live or use a recently released ORIGINAL to update both drive and console to recent dash before the firmware will work.

Please note you do not need to spoof the drive to do the dash update that flashed the drive as it will not update all you need is your drive key and DO NOT USE A BACKUP to do the update as halfway through it will reflash your drive with stock firmware and when 360 reboots it can no longer read the backup then your stuck in a half update and may not have the original to complete update.

Sorry for the rant and hope it makes sense i sorta confused myself a little bit as well  huh.gif

Just flashed a 78FK with latest JF, and it plays a backup of Sonic Generations perfectly. The disc was burned using an iXtreme Burner MAX DVD.

OK so every disc I burn with burnermax fires right up when inserted into the hitachi 078. The problem I'm having is with burning the games I think, I can't install a complete game without errors. While installing the game either on a lite on drive or hitachi drive it always gets to about 46% then says disc unreadable.
Also I've burned a couple of MW3's with burnermax and they all work for the online part but as soon as I try the campain it says disc unreadable.

I have a brandnew Ihas124b drive. Maybe should I retry flashing it?
Sorry a little off topic.

I can confirm 46, 59, 78 all working with XGD3.
Both 79's I have tried have E66 error.

Anyone got any further forward with pre 79 drives?

I've tried jungleflasher latest version and firmware toolbox and same crap.

Some xd3 games boot,  others don't.

Ok just retried a 59. Works great with GOW3, MW3 and Battlefield 3 that are burnt properly.
Tried a trunecated GOW3 and get an unrecognized disc error.

Ok, so I repaired a system today and the BenQ drive that was in it was dead (was able to read fw, however). I flashed the key to a 78 FK and updated to latest dash - XGD3 burned with BurnerMAX f/w boot fine; I tested a XGD2 title that had AP2.5 data, and it failed to boot, but I probably need to re-rip it (as opposed to a f/w related issue). Truncated burns show 'Play Game' from the main menu, but won't show the title/graphics and won't successfully boot.

Meanwhile, another console I have over here (OSIG = 79FL) get's one red light when attempting to read a XGD3 backup (if I wait a minute after the light, the screen will eventually say e66). Originals are fine. XGD2 is fine.

imgBurn trucha burned discs dont work with hitachi LT+2.0
looks like re burning all games with liteon ihas
probably going to be the same with all other drives with LT+3.0

"trucha"?

There's no such word, except for the term used in wii softmod hacking "trucka bug".

Trucha, isn't and never will be a shortened term for "truncate".
