Ok here's the deal i have someone who has emailed me to ask if his old Hitachi 49dj which has lt1.1 on would be fine to update the dash to play the latest games on without going back to his Original Firmware?
Reason being he doesnt have the know how to restore the drive or the Original Files from when it was modded.
Any help is great as after reading this in the FAQ on the update I was not sure.
The console is on Dash 2.0.12611.0 at present

Regardless of what drive you have, you should flash to old stock OFW before updating. If you have CFW the update will fail for some drives:
If you have retail dash 12625 or earlier:
For some CFW drives (Samsung, slim Lite-On), the new update will fail to install. You need to flash the drive to stock OFW before the update can proceed.
There's firmware packs including latest LT+ 2.0, Jungleflasher and ALL stock firmware for all drives out that are hackable and easy enough to find. Can't give links it's copyrighted material.
