I used the drilling method to unlock the chip with success..I applied the modified fw to the drive  &  I then put the xbox back together & the cd wouldnt spin up at all. Now i have a maximus lizard & i have safetly stored my original dvd key on my laptop... would i be correct in saying that as ive purchased an identical dvd drive albeit with a different fw on it, can i flash the new dvd drive with my original key & modified fw? has any one got a guide to guide me through this?

Treat your replacement PCB as if it was a replacement TX board and follow Jungleflasher tutorial V1.4.4 from page 211.

Thanks for the info.. the replacement drive is now in the xbox flashed with lt+ 2.0e.. just waiting for my backups to arrive to check they work, then i can puit originals away safe from my 5year old lol.
