If you had a spoofed drive ever since May 2011 when the update came out to flash your drive back to stock this has been a problem.
if you have a spoofed drive in there while doing an update it will fail to be able to complete it.
So unless you like swapping your dead drive with new drive or worry you might get flagged for spoofing, then buy the same drive.
To clarify (for those who need to spoof for whatever reason): This only applies to LIVE safety and being able to successfully apply an update that flashes the drive (so far, only 13604) - If you apply the 13604 update and then put a spoofed drive in, the drive *should* work as long as you stick to AP2.5 requirements (ie: if your drive DID support AP2.5, you cannot replace it with a drive that does not; you can do the opposite, however).
