Do you have the key from the original flash, the key never changes.?

Options are.

Flash key onto a replacement drive.

Or

If you don't have the key you can swap the pcb onto another drive, basic solder skills required.

You can flash without the kit, use the Xbox as power source, re intro the drive as it sounds like a partial erase.

If you get statins 0x80 then try re erasing and intro the drive until u get 072 status

If keys did not change from the update, then yes, I do have the original key.

I would try and flash it without the fuxored connectivity kit.

Are you seeing the drive in jungle flasher?

Make sure you use the latest jungle flasher and manually load the lt2 firmware?

The sequence should be.

Flash drive back to stock

Update Xbox

Drive will now read as 0251 in jungle flasher.

Erase and flash with lt2

Get original firmware off xbins

sounds like u erased the drive and then crashed your pc.
open jf
select the right port
hit intro
turn on the drive

do that in that EXACT order and you will see your drive.  if it crashes your pc, then u need to read the jf tut or use dos flash 16.

The thing is my PC never crashed and I didn't even get to the point of erasing the drive, just extracting the key under the DVDKey32 tab using the Ck3 probe, and my drive was no longer detected afterwards. I've also dealt with the PC freezing issue before so I'm aware of the issue there.

I also tried your suggestion with the steps listed, but all I get is "Status 0x7F." I resent vendor intro and it tries for a while and just says device intro failed. At no time does Jungle Flasher recognize the drive.

Even using the lite-on erase button doesn't do anything. I get the following.

I power cycle the drive after Status 0x7F and have tried multiple times. I'm going to see if I can get anywhere with DOSFlash, but I really think the drive is fried. That's the only thing that makes sense, especially because power wasn't off when I was using the probe and I don't think I put the probe in the right spot the first time. I was following the JF tutorial, but didn't realize there were new methods and I was following the guide for the new method using the "Phatkey" button and not the legacy method, which I now know can't be used anyway because the drive is a 02510C after the update.

Anyway, I'll try some more and if not looks like I'm going to be buying a new drive. Since mine was originally a 74850C, do I need to purchase a 74850C? Also, since after the update mine is now a 02510C, does that make a difference? Will I be able to just purchase a 74850C then write LTPlus-025-v2.0 on it with my key injected? My dashboard is already up-to-date obviously.

I'm definitely on the right port as that's the port that I used before when Jungle Flasher detected my drive. Also, even if it was the wrong port, it should still show up in DOSFlash. Now Jungle Flasher or DOSFlash don't see my drive at all. I don't have the log from the first attempt, but I do have the key from a previous backup. I actually went ahead and ordered a new 74850 and my plan is to just flash it with LT+2.0 with my key. If I can still fix this in the meantime it'd be great if you guys have any other suggestions.

either u erased the drive and that is why jf doesn't see it, or you plugged it in upside down and blew the fuses.  maybe crack it open and see if anything looks burned up.

Yup, that's what I ended up doing. Got the new drive to work perfectly without a problem.
