I am attempting to flash my DG-16D4S with the latest firmware but have run into a lot of misinformation.

I plan to buy the Sputnik 360 switch below, but look at where this chip is installed in the picture. It's in a completely different spot than it is in the Xecuter guide!

Are these two different products? If so which one do I need?

Also do I still need to buy a "sputnik probe" If I purchase the above product?

Or can I just read/write my dvd key and firmware using the sputnik switch?
