Ihas324 32b Problem

Presumably you've already tried power cycling the drive? I would try that first.

Did you take a backup of  your flash and EEPROM before flashing with Burner Max? If so, you could try restoring it to stock firmware to see if that brings it back to life, then reflashing it with Burner Max.

Hope some one can help
I have this drive which i updated from AL1A to AL1B then followed the tut on flashing the CFW
All went well
Now it shows up in my computer, in device manager and ejects fine but drive seems dead
No disc are recognised meaning i cant open anything up in this drive
In  imgburn no disc properties show up I hear a little spin then it stops
No media present
any one help
is there anything in the bios that needs changing as its an ATAPI drive which i thought shoulnt matter
any help would be great  sad.gif

You mention its an ATAPI, do you mean its got IDE interface? I wasnt aware they made an ide version of that drive. If it is IDE then thats definatly the problem.

My drive is SATA and also shows as ATAPI in Windows: -

All 6 of the "B" models needed for Burner Max are SATA-only, so it's definitely not because he bought an IDE model by mistake.

I kind of have something similar. My flashed drive will detect with my newer computer but would not burn anything properly. However it would read normal discs tho.

Have to hook it up to my Old nforce 2 computer and now it seems to burn properly.

Not really sure what the problem is.
