now the drive does not even power on ... im powering it via a ck lite . pressed ejected many times nothing. no noise from the drive what so ever, does that mean its dead .

do i have to replace the drive for the same model or can i put in a different drive???

Build your stock firmware in JF using your dummy.bin as the source and the stock liteon firmware as your target, flash liteon as you normally would.

If your liteon is stuck between vendor mode and your pc/sata card wont detect a drive there to perform l-o-eras, then what i done was connected an hitachi drive using CK3 and booted up to iprep in dosflash, the sata card knew the hitachi drive was there, i switched off CK3 unplugged hitachi and plugged in liteon, i then could use the l-o-eras command.

Not sure if you have same problem or just blew your drive up.

if your drive was stuck like mine then it wouldnt open or respond what so ever.

make sure you are on the right port (dont even bother turning the drive on yet).

turn the drive on.
