ok had a winbond 9504 board (full dump)
dumped flashed 1.91 worked great

kid flashed to 13599 (dummy.bin)
drive now 272 and locked  

tried to kamakazi have doen a few but this one didnt go so well (cause its mine lol)

either case replaced with 9504 mx ic ... unlocked...flashed LTPlus-0272-v2.0..locked... outro.....bootup system all media original...dvd...backup = unrecognized disc.

I have been looking on forums have seen people with issues read errors but havent found any specific to this read error..


either case im still looking but if anyone has any ideas im open.

changed laser.... changed to yet antoher board....keys verify .... have tried multi outros.... have reflashed a few times.....stock and 2.0.... still same result

orig laser back in get open tray on all discs
new laser gets unrecognized disc on all discs

said hell with it flashed with key from another slim gives same error.unrecognized disc.....hmmmmm

now looks as if one of the mx boards si screwed

unlocked went to write and jf froze

now its not showing up

ok read some peeps having this issue with non modded systems and microcrap told them wait for update

so i updated my 13599 to 13604 and guess what no help lol


at this point i have no clue have tried
flashing many times
tried every slim key i have (even if i knwo the one i used was at least the one dumped from my drive)
tried outro the drive till i was sick of doing it
pulled hdd ...cleared cache...updated dash...changed lasers...was using 2 diff mx boards but down to one ....tried 10 games orig ...4 dvds .....and 3 backups ... all no go

at this stage im beside myself .... thinking of glitching it to make sure the key is correct ...but was dumped at 9504 lt and at 272 so shoudlnt be the key.

you tried a new laser but have you checked if the drive motor is even spinning?

yes sorry didnt add that
disc is spinning well untill the unrecognized disc error as it stops spinning then
worm gear moving laser

Acting simular to an open tray, spins disc then stops spins agian stops then spins for a longer but never gets to high spin nor laser moving to edge of disc. As I would expect since it doesnt seem to know what the discs are.

now i am confused  that you're talking about a winbond chip now its a Mx how are u unlocking it Russian hack or kamikaze hack?

 thats only to lock the drive

first thing u should do unlock the drive using Russian hack
read and save you're firmware dump
write CFW
lock the drive

if u used kamikaze hack on a mx that might be the problem.

yeah not sure whats confusing there states winbond?

tried unlock with kazi didnt work out so well

killed eject and caused open tray so replaced with mx flashed and now gettin unrecognized

mx using sputnik

ok update
ordered more lasers from another distributor seems sam is not a good guy to get lasers from 3 of 5 where dead ....

either case customer brought in a slim with a tray off track so i flashed his key on my drive and tested it no go.... put his laser in mine bingo works fine ...


so either just a bad new laser issue or both laser and key ill find out once i get new laser didnt have time to reflash and test in mine before he had to pick it back up
