Is the burner max firmware locked at 4x write speed for dual layer discs? Would like to write other stuff at 8x if possible.

Yeah I got the original firmware for my drive. I don't want that. I want to flash the moded firmware cve made and it work for my drive.

Just locked at 4X for XGD3 every other type is normal

the modded firmware is the bin file not the exe. Just flash the bin firmware and you should be fine

I am currently having the same problem that you had with my ASUS DRW24B3LT. I have tried all variants of the iHASx24B Firmware and it will not flash the drive. I disconnected from my internal connection and tried USB with no luck as well.

I am using an ASUS 24B1ST crossflashed as iHAS124b and got excellent results on my first try.

Force Hypertuning - Enabled
Online Hypertuning - Enabled
*Overspeed - Enabled
Smartburn - Enabled

Set buffer size in Imgburn to 512 MB
Unchecked BURN-proof
*Unchecked Perform OPC before Write

Burned at 4x on MKM001:

PI Max: 40
PI Avg: 0.65
PIF Max: 4
PIF Avg: 0.06

I have an iHAS124 drive. Flashed with the C4eva f/w and the drive was working great, burned a couple games without issue. Now all of a sudden it has an exclamation next to it in Device Manager and it says the device cannot start. I've tried rebooting several times and it still won't work.

Any thoughts?!?

One thing you can be sure of that never goes on the sale is 25 pack spindles of verbatim printable 8x DVD+R DL. You pay £21 +\- £2 and that is what you pay. Shame really as for most things the UK gets quite good deals as price wars break out between stores on items like consoles. In the US that hardly ever happens except on special events like black friday. Anyway i'll shurrup as this is very off topic
