I have a HP DVD1270I A burner when i load up eeprom utility it says it's a IHAS224A ZL0P 2009/10/06 14:06.
how do i flash this to use the maxburn flash and what flash to i use?

A series drive = incompatible, sorry

If you want you can still crossflash to iHAS224 A or iHAS424 A firmware, but no Burner Max

i just got an ihas 124 d winbond, sucks i know, is there any burnermax firmware in the works for this model or should i return it?

I just bought a Sony Optiarc 5280S-CB-PLUS from amazon. It has native overburn support!! I popped it in the pc and tossed in a memorex blank and tried and xgd3 image and it started the burn right away. did not ask to truncate or overburn or anything. Will let you guys know how it turned out

Tried 3 games so far, 1 of which is forza 4 which gave me tons of problems no matter what i did and others that randomly froze.

Not a single issue!!

I guess you can go ahead and add this drive to the list however it does not need to be reflashed it works straight out of the box.

Can anyone else confirm the Sony Optiarc works for overburning and has no security lapses at all for playing online?

This would be amazing if it worked natively. Can anyone check with c4eva via IRC perhaps? I have to sleep now for work.
